“The labor of every Artist achieves its greatest realization only when it is shared with someone else…”
“Sharing Music, Sharing Love” is a personal project of baritone Javier Arrey, which has the mission to bring first class performances to new audiences and places that usually have no access to opera and classical music.
Different organizations and individuals like: Sename (Chile), Maryland Lyric Opera (USA), InterFaith (USA), Children National Hospital, among others, have been partners and supporters of the project “Sharing Music, Sharing Love”, making possible numerous concerts and recitals in Hospitals, Jails, churches and shelters, in US and outside the country as well.
During the pandemic it was held the first Online Gala “Sharing Music, Sharing Love, Be the Change”, with marvelous Artists connected from all around the world (Italy, Austria, Spain, Chile, USA, Argentina, Germany). This Gala was transmitted to different Hospitals and shelters in Chile. The Gala “Sharing Music, Sharing Love” launched as well the first emergency Fund for the Chilean association of singers ACLICH, “CoOpera Fund”.
This project can’t be possible without the generous collaboration of great artists and friends who share this vision to bring the opera and music to everyone and serve through it.
“The musical and artistic experience becomes much deeper and honest when it ceases to be about ourselves, and begins to be about the music itself and the audience who receives it…”
The greatest and wiser man in the entire history of the world, said:
“I came to serve, not to be served…”
This statement gives us a huge lesson, inspiration and example to follow.
